The Good, The Better, and The Best
For the smoothest skin and best long-term results, schedule your waxing appointments every 4–6 weeks and avoid shaving between visits.
Prep
-
Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment.
Stay hydrated and moisturize regularly leading up to your wax.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing on the day of your appointment.
If you’re sensitive, avoid excessive caffeine right before your wax.
-
For the best results, hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice). If the hair is too short, the wax may not be able to grip it properly. If hair is long, do NOT trim. Your wax specialist will determine if necessary.
-
Shaving between appointments
Tanning 24–48 hours before your service
Retinol, tretinoin, or strong exfoliants on the treatment area
Heavy lotions or oils immediately before your appointment
During
-
Your service begins with a brief consultation and cleansing of the treatment area to ensure the skin is ready for waxing.
Wax is applied in sections and removed quickly to effectively remove hair from the root. Your esthetician may guide you through positioning adjustments throughout the service.
-
Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but most wax babes find waxing becomes easier with regular appointments. Deep breathing and staying relaxed can help minimize discomfort.
We also offer a Numbing service that can be added to your appointment for an additional $5.
We also recommend taking Tylenol an hour before your appointment.
-
Appointment time varies depending on the services booked.
We list an estimated but highly accurate time duration on every one of our services to help you plan accordingly.
Aftercare
-
To allow your skin time to recover, avoid:
Hot tubs, hot showers, and saunas
Intense exercise and excessive sweating
Tanning and direct sun exposure
Tight clothing that may cause friction
Touching the freshly waxed area unnecessarily
-
Begin exfoliating 48 hours after your wax and continue 2–3 times per week. Regular exfoliation helps prevent dead skin buildup that can trap hairs beneath the surface.
Moisturize daily to maintain healthy skin and support proper hair growth between appointments.
Only use recommended products by your wax specialist. Take a look at your waxer`s faves!

Waxing While on Your Period: What You Need to Know
Yes — you can still get waxed during your period. It’s completely safe, and many wax babes do it regularly. However, there are a few things you should know so you feel prepared and comfortable during your appointment.
-
Absolutely. Your menstrual cycle does not prevent you from getting waxed. Just make sure to wear a tampon or menstrual cup if you’re getting a bikini or Brazilian service.
-
You might feel a bit more sensitivity than usual. During your period, hormone changes can make the skin more reactive, which can slightly increase discomfort. That said, the experience is still very manageable for most wax babes.
-
Yes. We perform Brazilian waxes during menstruation as long as you are comfortable and properly protected (tampon or cup required).
-
Your safety and comfort are always the priority. We maintain strict sanitation protocols before, during, and after every service, regardless of cycle timing.
-
We recommend rescheduling if:
You feel unusually sensitive or crampy
You’re experiencing heavy flow and don’t feel comfortable
You personally prefer to wait a few days
-
Take an over-the-counter pain reliever 30–60 minutes before your appointment (if you normally can)
Avoid caffeine right before your wax (it can increase sensitivity)
Wear breathable, comfortable clothing
Communicate with your esthetician if you need breaks
Your body, your cycle, your comfort. We’re here to make the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible — no judgment, ever.
Waxing During Pregnancy: What You Should Know
-
Yes. Waxing is generally considered safe during pregnancy as long as you are having a healthy, low-risk pregnancy. Many expecting clients continue waxing throughout all trimesters.
If you have any medical concerns or a high-risk pregnancy, it’s always best to check with your doctor first.
-
It might. Hormonal changes during pregnancy can make your skin more sensitive than usual, especially in the first and third trimesters. This can make waxing feel slightly more intense, but it is still very manageable for most clients.
-
Yes. Waxing only affects the surface of the skin and does not impact the baby in any way.
-
Yes, you can. Many pregnant clients continue Brazilians up until delivery. As your pregnancy progresses, positioning may be adjusted for your comfort.
We always prioritize your comfort and will take breaks or modify positioning as needed.
-
We may recommend waiting if:
You are experiencing complications or a high-risk pregnancy
You are extremely sensitive or uncomfortable lying on your back or side
You simply don’t feel up for it that day
There is no pressure — your comfort comes first.
-
Hair may grow back softer over time
Helps with hygiene and comfort, especially in later stages
Longer-lasting than shaving (less maintenance during pregnancy)
-
Schedule at a time when you feel least fatigued
Wear loose, comfortable clothing
Stay hydrated before your appointment
Let your esthetician know if you need to adjust your position
Avoid caffeine right before your service if you’re sensitive
Pregnancy can bring a lot of changes to your body — and yes, that includes your skin sensitivity and hair growth. Waxing is still safe during pregnancy, but there are a few things to keep in mind so you feel comfortable and confident during your appointment.
Every pregnancy is different. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable, supported, and at ease throughout your entire experience — no stress, no judgment, just care.
Waxing After Pregnancy: What You Should Know
-
Vaginal Delivery
Most clients can resume waxing once they feel comfortable and any tenderness has resolved. If you've experienced tearing, stitches, or complications, wait until you've been cleared by your healthcare provider.
C-Section Delivery
If waxing near the abdomen or bikini area, allow your incision to fully heal before scheduling an appointment. Avoid waxing directly over scars that are still healing.
When in Doubt, Ask Your Doctor
Every postpartum recovery is different. If you're unsure whether you're ready for waxing, consult your healthcare provider before booking.
-
Increased Sensitivity
Hormonal fluctuations can make the skin more sensitive, especially during the first few months postpartum.
Changes in Hair Growth
Some wax babes notice thicker, thinner, patchier, or faster-growing hair after pregnancy. This is completely normal and usually stabilizes over time.
Communication is Key
Let your esthetician know that you've recently had a baby so we can make your service as comfortable as possible.
-
Most wax babes should wait at least 6 weeks postpartum before receiving a Brazilian or bikini wax.
This allows the body time to heal and gives your healthcare provider an opportunity to clear you at your postpartum checkup.
You may need to wait longer if you:
Had a C-section and your incision is still healing
Experienced tearing or stitches during delivery
Are experiencing ongoing bleeding, discomfort, or complications
Have been advised by your healthcare provider to avoid hair removal services
For other waxing services (such as brows, lip, chin, underarms, or legs), many wax babes can resume waxing sooner as long as they feel comfortable and the skin is healthy and intact.
-
For intimate waxing services, we recommend waiting until:
✔️ Your postpartum bleeding has stopped
✔️ Any tears, stitches, or incisions have healed
✔️ You've attended your postpartum checkup and been cleared by your healthcare provider -
Hair may grow back softer over time
Helps with hygiene and comfort, especially in later stages
Longer-lasting than shaving (less maintenance during pregnancy)
-
Wait Until You're Fully Healed
The most important step is allowing your body enough time to recover. We recommend waiting until you've been cleared by your healthcare provider and any tenderness, stitches, or incisions have fully healed.
Stay Hydrated
Hydrated skin tends to be more resilient and can make the waxing process feel more comfortable.
Exfoliate Gently
Exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment to help lift hairs and remove dead skin cells. Avoid harsh scrubs if your skin is still feeling sensitive.
Avoid Caffeine Right Before Your Appointment
Coffee and energy drinks can make the skin more sensitive and may increase discomfort during your wax.
Wear Loose, Comfortable Clothing
Choose breathable clothing that won't rub against freshly waxed skin on your way home.
Let Your Esthetician Know You're Postpartum
Every postpartum recovery is different. Sharing how recently you gave birth allows your esthetician to tailor the service to your comfort level.
Consider Timing Around Your Cycle
If your period has returned, try to schedule your wax when you're not menstruating, as the skin can be more sensitive during that time.
If you're newly postpartum and nervous about your first wax back, start with a smaller service (underarms, brows, or bikini line) before scheduling a Brazilian. This can help you gauge your comfort level and sensitivity as your body continues to recover.
If it's been several months since your last wax because of pregnancy, don't worry! The first appointment back is often the most uncomfortable. Staying consistent with your waxing schedule afterward usually leads to easier appointments and smoother results over time.
Numbing Option
-
We offer a topical numbing option for wax babes who are nervous, extra sensitive, postpartum, or returning to waxing after a long break.
While waxing can never be completely sensation-free, numbing cream may help reduce discomfort and take the edge off during your appointment.
-
First-time Brazilian wax babes
Postpartum wax babes
Wax babes with lower pain tolerance
Those returning after shaving for a long period
Special-event waxes (vacations, weddings, photoshoots)
-
Many wax babes report that waxing feels more manageable and less intense with the numbing option, though some sensation and pressure are still normal.
Results vary from person to person depending on skin sensitivity and hair thickness.
For the Best Experience
Exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment.
Stay hydrated.
Avoid excessive caffeine beforehand.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Let us know if you are postpartum, pregnant, or have particularly sensitive skin.
Numbing services are intended to reduce discomfort, not eliminate all sensation.
